More About Madhu Agarwal, M.D.

Dr. Madhu Agarwal, M.D., is a fellowship-trained and board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the evaluation and surgical treatment of all neuro-ophthalmologic diseases. She began her UCLA career at age 16 and completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry, magna cum laude with Highest Honors. At age 19, she started medical school at UCLA and was awarded the Alumni Achievement Award at graduation. She received advanced training in neuro-ophthalmology and orbital surgery through her fellowship at the Doheny Eye Institute (USC). Before starting California Orbital Consultants, Dr. Agarwal was an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Loma Linda University and Clinical Instructor at the Doheny Eye Institute. She is an active member in various professional organizations, including the American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the UCLA Association of Chemists and Biochemists. For four years, she also served on the board of directors for the UCLA Medical Alumni Association. Fluent in Spanish and Hindu, Dr. Agarwal enjoys ballroom dancing, cooking, and running in her free time.
