Which Vision Insurance Providers Are Available in Nevada?
Vision insurance providers providing coverage in Nevada include, but are not limited to, Prominence Health Care, Humana Medicare, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and Health Plan of Nevada.

Does Insurance Cover LASIK?
Most vision insurance plans do not cover LASIK, as it is not considered a medically necessary procedure. Most plans do offer LASIK or refractive surgery discount plans where policyholders can get a substantial amount off the total cost of the surgery if they go with a partnered provider.
Medicare or Medicaid Coverage in Nevada
Many physicians accept Medicare and Medicaid insurance. Most plans have vision coverage that includes eye exams, eye care treatment, and glasses or contact lenses. Since LASIK is considered an elective surgery, it is not on the payment schedule for Medicaid or Medicare.
Here is a quick breakdown of vision insurance options in Nevada:
Cost | Coverage | Eligibility | |
Prominence | $10–$30 | $200 allowance for contacts and frames | Year-round enrollment |
UnitedHealthcare | $10–$30 | $100 allowance for contacts and frames | Any age covered |
