Dr. Davidson is a board-certified ophthalmologist, who has performed more than 27,000 procedures. He was the highest ReSTOR® implanting surgeon in all of California in 2011 and has more experience with ReSTOR than any other surgeon in the greater Los Angeles area.
Dr. Davidson believes that his talent as an eye surgeon should be shared beyond NVISION, so he spends his free time as a volunteer physician for SEE International, which is devoted to helping restore sight in blind individuals worldwide. With SEE International, he has traveled to developing countries worldwide, where he has participated in eye surgery missions. In this charitable work, Dr. Davidson has provided modern eye care to hundreds of people. He has also given the gift of medical training to local ophthalmologists in Albania, Mexico, Venezuela, and Vietnam.
Dr. Davidson earned his M.D. with Highest Distinction in the top 1 percent of his class at Indiana University. After completing his ophthalmology residency, he won the Clinical Fellow Research Award at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Education remains a priority for Dr. Davidson, and he continues to train, teach and lecture in vision correction. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at his alma mater, the Jules Stein Eye Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles. He has been honored with the prestigious Physician Recognition Award from the American Medical Association for having more than 1,900 hours of Continuing Medical Education.
He has also served on Speakers Bureau for leading vision products companies, including Alcon Pharmaceutical, Alcon Surgical, Bausch & Lomb and Allergan.
Dr. Davidson is the recipient of many prestigious awards. He has been named one of America’s Top Ophthalmologists by both America’s Top Doctors and Castle Connolly every year since 2007. He was also named Ventura County’s Best LASIK Surgeon of 2009 by Ventura County Reporter magazine.
He has published articles in both the American Journal of Ophthalmology and the Journal of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
